Make sure you are using the latest release of the Logitech webcam software. Using the latest Logitech webcam software: Wireless and dial-up connections may result in choppy and overall poor image quality because of slower Internet connection speed. ![]() Corporate networks and DSL/cable modem connections provide the best video call experience. If your contact is experiencing poor image quality, the slow connection may exist on your side of the video call. If you see poor image quality, there may be a slow connection on the other side of the video call. The video quality you are receiving over the Internet is directly affected by the image quality of the transmitted video. If the image appears clear in the Logitech software, your Internet connection may be responsible for the poor image quality. If the image quality is poor using video-enabled programs such as MSN Messenger, Yahoo Instant Messenger, Skype or AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), check the video quality in your Logitech webcam software. If your camera has autofocus, the focus is automatically adjusted by the Logitech webcam software. If your camera has fixed focus, make sure you're sitting at an adequate distance away from the camera. This will allow you to focus the camera image on objects at different distances. If your camera has manual focus, adjust the focus ring located around the lens of your camera. This will also improve on the blur or fuzziness seen during quick movements. Improving the lighting conditions can considerably improve the image quality. Cameras need light to produce great images. This will reset the webcam, and cause its image to be displayed again.Increase the lighting. Click the Properties icon (shown selected).Move the mouse to the middle of the far left edge of the screen, until a panel of icons pops out, as shown at left, above.The webcam will turn back on if the light level is brightened - but only when it reaches an upper threshold level, which could easily be above the lighting level at which it had been working previously.
